New Christmas Gifts! Custom Wooden Blocks

I just love how the new wooden blocks turned out. They are 3.5" x 3.5" x 3.5" solid wood that have been painted, sanded and then decorated with beautiful Basic Grey paper on all 6 sides. All edges are inked and sealed. I chose to put the word "PEACE" on one side and the last name "TURNER" on the other side. Beautiful swirl stamps along with snowflakes enhance the blocks.

These would make fabulous Christmas gifts for family and friends and a very special gift for a teacher. They would look great on a mantle, bookcase or in a child's room. You could choose a Christmas theme or match them to your decor.

They are $8 for each block and you decide what you would like the blocks to say and the colors you would like. They will be in our etsy store soon!

Until then...just email us if you would like to order for the Holidays!

Why the Tooth Fairy didn't make it to our house...

My 6 year old Caleb lost a tooth at school on Monday, along with 2 other boys in his class. He was so excited and put it under his pillow right away. The next morning...no money. Nothing! Nada!

Yes, we forgot...ballgames, late night, just plain forgot. It was his first tooth and I felt terrible, but his two older brothers reminded him of all the times that the tooth fairy forgot about them. In fact his oldest brother, Josh, who is now 11 said that he has been waiting a few months! So when I sent him off to school, I just made a mental note to try to do better tonight!

Then this email from his teacher came...

Becca and Steve,

Just want y'all to know we have been having a quite heated discussion about the tooth fairy this morning. Seems she came and left Carson $5 and Logan $8 but didn't make it to Caleb's house. He is thinking about writing her a note asking what happened last night. Don't know if he will, just want you to be ready just in case :)

He's being a trooper about it - I think the class has decided either it was too windy or she ran out of money because so many kids lost teeth yesterday (Kayleigh Frank lost one too).
I'm pretty sure they'll keep discussing this most of the day, I'll let you know if there are any new revelations.

I've been trying to remember what I said when she forgot Luke's tooth - I think she ran out of cash.

So off to Target...I came home with some blue and white star glitter cookies, some coffee and chocolate for the teacher and a pretty gift bag. I then hurriedly typed up this letter and delivered it to the classroom while they were in art.

Dear Caleb,

You are probably surprised to be getting a letter from me at school. First I want to tell you that I am sorry for not making it to your house last night. You and your friends have probably been talking about why I didn’t make it. Yes, it was a very windy night and yes, I did have a LOT of deliveries. Who would have thought that 3 people in Mrs. Barnes’s pre 1st class would lose a tooth in one day? But I do want to clear things up and let you and your friends—Aidan, Carson, Logan, Parker, Avery and Sophie—know the truth about what happened last night.

It was a windy November night in Colleyville Texas. I had hundreds of deliveries to do in just Colleyville. I was getting very tired, but only had 3 stops left. The first stop was to see Logan—that went pretty easy since I have been to Logan’s before. My second to last stop was Carson. All went well with Carson’s delivery until I realized that I had given him 2 $5 dollar bills. Carson is a very good boy, but I was saving that last $5 for Caleb. Once I realized that I had given two $5 bills to Carson, I turned around and flew back to get it. That is when everything happened! I didn’t see this very tall tree and the wind blew its long branches and it clipped the tip of my wing. I knew that I only had enough strength to make it back home. This was a very hard decision for me because I knew that I would not be able to make my last stop. But if I didn’t get home and to the wing doctor fast, I might not be able to save my wing and there would be no more deliveries for the rest of the year! Just think of all the sad kids if this happened!

So I spent the rest of the night getting my wing fixed. The wing doctor said that I am all ready to go for tonight. I was a little worried, so I thought I would give my wings a practice fly and send you a special note and treat to let you and your friends know what happened.

In this bag are some special Tooth Fairy Star cookies that you and your friends can share. There is also a special treat for your teacher, because I am sure this has caused her lots of extra stress these last two days.

If all goes well, I will be back delivering tonight. Thanks for understanding!

Love, The Tooth Fairy

Being forgotten by the tooth fairy turned out to be the best thing ever! And yes, the tooth fairy remembered last night...actually it was at 6:40 am right before his Dad woke him up!
