Do You Doodle?

Our mother always doodled--while she was on the phone, mostly. I remember as a child watching her talking to someone and making "lovely" designs all over whatever she could write on--scraps of paper, cereal box, old receipts--well, you've got the picture. Anyway, she has passed this wonderful trait on. I used to think it was just one of those things that you said to yourself, "I will never do blah, blah, blah just like my mom!" Then I saw this doodle by Stephanie (www.homegrownhospitality.typepad.com) : Its not like I haven't heard and read this verse many times, but this "doodle" really spoke to me during the past few months. So, I began to see that "doodling" can be more than just lines and flowers and words on a paper--they can actually have a purpose.
